Gaurav Bagwe is a Masters student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at NJIT. He has been instrumental in organizing various events, trips, seminars and other academic and social events as the former Vice President of GBMES. He also served as the BME Departmental Representative on the GSA General Assembly and has made the concerns of the Graduate community heard to GSA and the BME Department. Before joining NJIT he was working in the IT industry for three years after completing his Bachelor of Engineering from Mumbai University in India. His hobbies are playing badminton, basketball and following motorsports. His research interests are Bio-MEMS device design and fabrication and micro-fluidics in biomedicine.

As President of GBMES he is committed to enriching the quality of student life in the BME department by organizing events which bring the BME faculty, students and the industry in close contact with each other.
